Virtual Reality: At the College of Staten Island, we try to provide an immersive learning experience using virtual reality (VR) technology, which can provide an environment where students can interact with 3D model worlds offering them an opportunity to engage and improve their retention of material taught in classrooms, and be exposed to “real life” situations.

Internet of Things (IOT)

• Wayfinder:   (In progress) Our latest initiative includes a low cost solution to assist students with navigating our 204 acre campus.  Using Google Maps, the College Community can navigate to their desired location by following the “walking” directions. Taking it a step further, QR codes were created for each building providing the Directory of individuals in the building.

Dropbox:  CUNY has licensed for students, faculty and administrative staff. Visit the CUNY Dropbox  web pages and the  in the  web site for introductory information on Dropbox features and how to use them

OneDrive:  Microsoft Office 365 for Education provides free access to all active and to Office 365 online applications and services, including OneDrive for Business and SharePoint.
