The Office of Student Life would like to remind you that the CSI Food Pantry, located in the Green Dolphin Lounge in the Campus Center (1C), will continue to be an available resource on campus to all current CSI and CUNY students facing food insecurity.
The CSI Food Pantry that was created to help provide assistance to our students by providing bags of non-perishable food on a weekly basis, as well as perishable foods on an intermittent basis, based on funding & availability. The CSI Food Pantry is generously supported by The Petrie Foundation, CUNY, and New York City Council, and our very own CSI Student Government.
CSI Food Pantry Appointments will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays through the Fall 2025 term, except when the College is Closed. If any student is unable to meet with us during the appointment times available on these days, please contact Robert King Kee, Assistant Director of the Office of Student Life and Food Pantry Coordinator, @ robert.kee@csi.cuny.edu.
- In order to make an appointment, please review the weekly communication sent to your CIX account on Monday mornings throughout the year. Appointment requests must be made no later than 4:30pm on the day prior to any requested appointment.

- CUNY Food pantries at the respective colleges are continuing to provide vital food assistance to students. CUNY students can access any CUNY pantry, regardless of school of attendance.
ċStaten Island Hunger Task Force: It is the mission of the Staten Island Hunger Task Force to advocate for the needs of food-insecure families and individuals and not-for-profit emergency feeding programs in order to ensure that hunger needs are met in the borough of Staten Island.
ċFood Bank of NYC: In light of ongoing developments around COVID-19, some emergency food providers have temporarily suspended normal operations and have switched to “grab and go” meals and pantry bags to minimize the risk of exposure. Many others, however remain open and this website will help you find pantries near your home address.
ċPlentiful App: Plentiful is a free app that you can download to locate pantries in your neighborhood. As the ongoing developments around COVID-19 are changing rapidly, please be sure to confirm hours of operation by calling before you visit.
