“Advancing knowledge, innovation, and opportunity at the frontiers of science & technology.”
Welcome to the Division of Science and Technology at the College of Staten Island! Here, discovery is a shared journey where students, faculty, and staff work together to expand knowledge, spark innovation, and prepare the next generation of STEM leaders.
Our “Division,” as we call it, is home to vibrant undergraduate and graduate programs, internationally recognized research, and a dedicated and award-winning community of educators and scholars. Faculty guide students to master the scientific method and apply it to real-world challenges. From biotechnology to renewable energy, from quantum chemistry to artificial intelligence and information technologies, and from nursing to physical therapy and the health sciences, our faculty and students are advancing the frontiers of knowledge while connecting discoveries to impact in society, industry, and the environment.
We believe that innovation flourishes when learning environments are open, collaborative, and supportive. That is why we are committed to fostering cultural understanding, broad participation, and civic engagement, while expanding access to STEM for all. Your creativity, curiosity, and dedication are essential to our collective success.
The Division’s progress is made possible through the continued support of national and state agencies, alumni, partners, corporations, and foundations. Their collaboration allows us to strengthen research, elevate teaching, and prepare our students for meaningful careers in New York City’s dynamic STEM economy and beyond.
We invite you to explore our departments and programs, connect with our faculty and students, and discover the many opportunities for innovation and growth at the College of Staten Island.
